Stephanie Mathews O’Keefe is CEO of the International Women's Forum, a global women's leadership organization. Her career has spanned the private sector, government and non-profit organizations where she has held senior leadership positions for over two decades. Most recently, she served as the Chief Communications Officer for CTIA, the telecom trade association and as Executive Vice President for Communications at the American Bankers Association.
She began her career in finance as an investment banker at Credit Suisse. Her government service includes positions at both the state and federal level as the Executive Director of the Governor’s Task Force on Children, Youth and Families in her home state of West Virginia and as the Executive Vice President for Communications at the Export-Import Bank of the United States. For over a decade, she was the Executive Vice President for External Affairs for Local Initiatives Support Corporation, a US community development intermediary. She has led change in every organization she has served, successfully creating new programs, executing new strategies and strengthening communications and brand visibility.
O'Keefe holds an AB in economics and a Master's degree in Public Administration from Harvard University. She served on the Smithsonian Institution's American Enterprise Finance Sector Committee and the West Virginia University Reed College of Media Visiting Committee. She is a Lay Minister at St. Columba's Episcopal Church in Washington, DC.
